I studied at DJCAD, graduating in 2017. In that time, I won an RSA award for innovative textiles as well as winning a competition, designing a jumper for Brora, which went on to be considered one of the “22 snazzy jumpers of 2016” in The Telegraph.
RSA Eddie Squires Award, 2016
I and a fellow student, Iqra Arshid, won the Eddie Squires award for our project New Life Knits. It was a project investigating methods of unwinding and reusing yarn in practical ways to help reinforce garments, allowing them to last longer.

Brora Competition, 2016
The award winning designs were inspired by Dundonian rooftops and chimney stacks. The Brora jumper was made using 100% lambs-wool created for the 2016 wool week and sold in all Brora shops.
DJCAD Degree Show, 2017
For my degree show project, I wanted to create garments that were striking but not form fitting. They were inspired by light filtering through leaves.
The jumpers and swatches for my degree show were made on a Passap knitting machine using Lamane yarn, 7 gauge knitting, programmed with design-a-knit2.
